And then we just ran. Actually, we walked. And then we walked back to town where we had started. I feel much better now that I had some time to dwell on my past and the secrets that have been hidden from me. It was a pleasure to walk through my door; into my house. But it was beautiful in its own way. Awesome photos were taken in Paris. A family member who went with me calculated that we walked about 25 km the first day. And that's just outside.. we also visited a HUGE department store! That's like 30 km already! Overall, it was fun. This is Munkie's player. As painful as it is to type, I feel I must explain why I'll be gone for the next few weeks. So, I was visiting NYC yesterday and as I was getting out of the car, I slammed the car door on my finger. I had to spend most of the day and some of the night in the ER (emergency room). It's not broken though, just badly injured. I have this splint to wear and it's very uncomfortable to type in. And, no, I can't take it off. You must be thinking to yourself "You can take the splint off without any pain within several days, why will you be gone for a few weeks?" Well, in case you don't remember, I'm also planning to go to Europe (had a news post "Europe '06") on Tuesday. And I don't think I'll be mudding from my hotel. So I'll be gone until after Labor Day (not sure what day I'll be back). See ya! *runs off*

-The Player *wink*

P.S. I think it's because of the shocking letter that I received yesterday. Still, like I promised, I went out looking for my friend; my brother. Thoroughly, I searched every street of the neighboring towns until around noon when I began feeling too dizzy and sick to walk. So I sat down against a willow tree to take a short nap for the dizziness to pass. When I woke up, by the position of the sun (or lack of), it was already around eight in the evening. But I was feeling better. I started to pick myself up and noticed something fall from my lap. I looked at the ground and there was a piece of parchment, similar to the one I found yesterday. It seems somebody (or something) had dropped it into my lap when I was sleeping and I didn't notice. I figured that there can't possibly be anything more suprising than yesterday's letter, so I picked up the note and read it:

I know you are looking for me. Don't bother, I am very far away. I didn't tell you about Mom and Dad because I thought, rather, I knew, that you would go out looking for them. And that's too dangerous. I don't know where the are or when they will be back. I don't know when I'll be back. All I know is that you must stay safe and do not wander in the streets at night. Don't lose the house to bidders that appear friendly and with good intentions. I will write to you later.

Until next time - Your brother

I was too exhausted to contemplate the origin of the note and my bones and muscles ached from the uncomfortable position that I had slept in for the most of the day. So I looked around for some pigeons that might have delivered the letter but all I found were 4 sparrows battling each other for a speck of bread that was abandoned by some child. I went to lean against the tree and before my back touched the bark, I was already sleeping.

Mom

This is my second entry today. Whatever I am about to write simply couldn't wait until tomorrow's entry! So, I was going to lie down in my house and I decided to take a nap in the guest room. So, calmly, I walked into the room and looked around. It was very neat and clean. The bed was made and the cool breeze from the window made it very pleasant to be inside. As soon as I looked at the window, I noticed a small pigeon sitting on the window sill. Exhausted, I walked up to shoo it away and noticed it had a note tied to its leg. As I carefully held the pigeon, I pulled the note off of its leg and released the bird. Once more, I looked around and began to read the letter:

To my darling children,
I know it is far too late to say I'm sorry for not being with you as you grew up. I hope that right now, you forgive me for that cruel sin and read this letter and understand what I am trying to tell you. It doesn't matter where I am but I will always be with you no matter where you are. To my beloved son, I know you will take wonderful care of your baby sister. In the future, I am sure that you will grow up to be a wonderful gentleman, just like your father. To my daughter, please don't end up like me. Do the right thing and always stay with your brother. Cherish your friends and those who care about you. Since you are both very young, too young, I have placed the responsibility on one of my closest friends. You might be familiar with her. Her name is Kairi and she will protect you until you are ready to face the big world on your own. Please keep this letter close to you and watch out for each other. I miss you both very much and I love you. Stay safe, my dear children.

From Your Mother

The rest of the letter was kinda smudged. The pigeon was no longer there and I had nobody to send a reply to. I spent the rest of the afternoon thinking if this was a prank or if this was really from her. As I reread the letter, I felt a warm feeling inside of me. She kept mentioning my brother though. And then it hit me. This miraculous discovery made me overwhelmed and I danced around the room in circles for nearly five minutes. I ran around the entire house and felt the "I am home" feeling. But then I tripped and landed on all fours in the middle of the entry hall. I sat up, rubbed my knees, and looked around for whatever had tripped me. There was a picture frame lying in the middle of the room. I picked it up and looked at it. It was a picture of my good friend (the one who had disappeared) and me. The picture was taken about two years ago when we built the first room to the castle in which I sat. And he is my brother. He was told to protect me and so he did. Very little of this makes sense but tomorrow, I'm going to go look for him. And when I find him, I'm going to demand an explanation as to why I never knew about my mother. This day has been completely out of control! As for right now, Kairi is considered my guardian on behalf of my mother's wishes.

Candy Hearts

My day was wonderful today. It's devastating.

Ignorance Isn't Bliss

I had an interesting day, to say the least. Without pointing any fingers, I was rudely ignored today. I cannot believe that they say "ignorance is bliss." It isn't bliss. It's terrible! It's almost insulting! Thankfully, Kairi was there to comfort me. And that was right before lunch too, so I got a chance to drown my sorrows in a banana (or two).

Other than that, I went house-seeking today! It was a cute bird until it began pecking me. Now, I have three neat dots on my chest. Events like these REALLY make a person wanna buy a house.

My good friend (the one who gave me the nickname [see previous post]) left me his house before he disappeared. But it's a little too much for me. He built his house in Mosul, and it's huge! Of course, it's beautiful but with all the maintenence work thats required, I think I might sell it.

Then, I could build myself one of those cozy little huts or cottages with only a few rooms.

My First

I must admit, this is my first time keeping a diary. I decided to keep one as a memoir. I used to have diaries when I was very little but those didn't last as long as I had hoped they would. Let me introduce myself, for those of you who don't know me.

My name is Munkie. I'm an "independant child" (I don't like using "orphan"). I spend my days with my clan members of the USL. I have no memory of my parents and as far as I know, I was abandoned at a very young age and left on my own. Who raised me? That's something we still have to find out. My nickname is Munchies. It was given to me by a good friend who disappeared a few months ago. I have a secret crush and I'm not telling anybody who it is!
