Mom

This is my second entry today. Whatever I am about to write simply couldn't wait until tomorrow's entry! So, I was going to lie down in my house and I decided to take a nap in the guest room. So, calmly, I walked into the room and looked around. It was very neat and clean. The bed was made and the cool breeze from the window made it very pleasant to be inside. As soon as I looked at the window, I noticed a small pigeon sitting on the window sill. Exhausted, I walked up to shoo it away and noticed it had a note tied to its leg. As I carefully held the pigeon, I pulled the note off of its leg and released the bird. Once more, I looked around and began to read the letter:

To my darling children,
I know it is far too late to say I'm sorry for not being with you as you grew up. I hope that right now, you forgive me for that cruel sin and read this letter and understand what I am trying to tell you. It doesn't matter where I am but I will always be with you no matter where you are. To my beloved son, I know you will take wonderful care of your baby sister. In the future, I am sure that you will grow up to be a wonderful gentleman, just like your father. To my daughter, please don't end up like me. Do the right thing and always stay with your brother. Cherish your friends and those who care about you. Since you are both very young, too young, I have placed the responsibility on one of my closest friends. You might be familiar with her. Her name is Kairi and she will protect you until you are ready to face the big world on your own. Please keep this letter close to you and watch out for each other. I miss you both very much and I love you. Stay safe, my dear children.

From Your Mother

The rest of the letter was kinda smudged. The pigeon was no longer there and I had nobody to send a reply to. I spent the rest of the afternoon thinking if this was a prank or if this was really from her. As I reread the letter, I felt a warm feeling inside of me. She kept mentioning my brother though. And then it hit me. This miraculous discovery made me overwhelmed and I danced around the room in circles for nearly five minutes. I ran around the entire house and felt the "I am home" feeling. But then I tripped and landed on all fours in the middle of the entry hall. I sat up, rubbed my knees, and looked around for whatever had tripped me. There was a picture frame lying in the middle of the room. I picked it up and looked at it. It was a picture of my good friend (the one who had disappeared) and me. The picture was taken about two years ago when we built the first room to the castle in which I sat. And he is my brother. He was told to protect me and so he did. Very little of this makes sense but tomorrow, I'm going to go look for him. And when I find him, I'm going to demand an explanation as to why I never knew about my mother. This day has been completely out of control! As for right now, Kairi is considered my guardian on behalf of my mother's wishes.
